Installation Terms

Supply and installation are separate

Urban Eye supplies equipment. Installation is quoted separately, either by Urban Eye or by your own installer.

What supplied equipment includes

The items listed on your quotation, with the accessories the manufacturer packs in the box. Cable, connectors, containment, power supplies, hard drives and mounting hardware are included only where the quotation lists them.

Not included unless quoted

• Installation labour
• Cable runs and containment
• Electrical work and power supply installation
• Network configuration beyond the security system
• Civil works such as trenching, conduit and core drilling
• Internet service and SIM data plans
• Monitoring and response services

Support for supplied equipment

At no charge, for equipment bought from us:

• A review of compatibility, PoE power budget and storage before you order
• Commissioning guidance by WhatsApp or email during business hours
• On request, a record of the models and serial numbers supplied

When your own installer does the work

Your installer is responsible for site assessment, cabling, power, mounting, configuration, commissioning, handover to the client and the quality of the workmanship.

When Urban Eye installs

We start with a free site survey. The installation quotation then sets out the scope, exclusions, programme and price in writing before any work begins.

Our workmanship on every installation carries a 12 month warranty from the date of commissioning, in addition to the manufacturer warranty on the equipment. See Warranty.

Problems during installation

If supplied equipment is not performing as expected, send us the order reference, model, serial number and photos of what you are seeing. We will investigate and give technical guidance. Faulty units are handled under warranty. Urban Eye is not responsible for installation labour or third-party costs on work we did not carry out.
