How ordering works
Urban Eye Security supplies equipment on quotation. Add products to your enquiry list or send us your site details, and we reply with a written quotation. Nothing is ordered until you accept the quotation and pay the deposit.
Quotations and prices
- Prices are in Kenyan shillings and are given on the quotation, not on this website.
- Quoted prices exclude VAT unless the quotation says otherwise.
- Each quotation states what is included, what is excluded, the assumptions it was prepared against, the lead time and how long the price is valid.
- Supplier prices and exchange rates change. If a quotation has expired, we confirm the price again before you pay.
Ordered on demand
Most equipment is ordered from our supplier for your project after you accept the quotation. The lead time on your quotation is our best estimate, and we tell you straight away if it changes.
Payment
- A deposit, stated on the quotation, is due when you accept it. We place the order with our supplier once the deposit has cleared.
- The balance is due before collection or dispatch.
- We accept M-Pesa and bank transfer. Any other payment method is confirmed on the quotation.
- Approved trade accounts may be offered invoice terms. Credit terms are agreed in writing for each account.
Cancellation
You can cancel without charge before we place the order with our supplier. If you cancel after that, we refund the deposit less any cost we cannot recover from the supplier, and we show you what that cost is.
Returns
Because equipment is ordered for your project, we do not accept returns for a change of mind. We accept a return where an item is faulty or where we supplied something different from your quotation. See Shipping and returns and Warranty for how to raise either.
Choosing the equipment
On request, we review compatibility, power budget and storage before you order, at no charge. The final choice of equipment and its installation remain the buyer's responsibility unless an installation service is quoted separately.
Warranty
Equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty for that product, and we handle claims from Nairobi. No further warranty is implied, apart from any that Kenyan law does not allow us to exclude.
Liability
Urban Eye Security is not liable for:
- Indirect or consequential loss
- Loss of profit or revenue
- Installation labour or third-party costs
- Damage caused by misuse, incorrect installation or power surges
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Kenyan consumer protection law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The terms published when you accept a quotation apply to that order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
