KeyPad Plus: tap a card, not a code, and still know exactly who came in

KeyPad Plus adds contactless entry to the standard keypad: a Pass card or Tag key fob, both built on DESFire EV1/EV2 chips with 128-bit encryption and copy protection. Present it to the reader, and the system disarms; the event, with the specific user's name and timestamp, is logged in the Ajax app automatically. One Tag or Pass can be authorized across up to 13 separate security systems.

Codes are still supported alongside cards: personal codes for up to 200 users, temporary codes for unregistered visitors like cleaning staff (up to 99), and duress codes that simulate a normal disarm while silently alerting the monitoring station. The Function button can be set as a panic button, triggering an alarm independent of the code entered.

Wireless range reaches up to 1,700 m (5,600 ft) over Jeweller's encrypted link. Battery life runs up to 4.5 years with the card reader disabled, or up to 3.5 years with it active; either way, tested individually at production and reported through the app with advance low-battery warnings.
