Why this kit is built this way
System objective: an alarm after hours on the roller shutters, the doors and the stock floor of a warehouse or godown too large for one hub's radio reach. Roller shutters are the real doors of a godown, so they are covered first, then movement on the floor.
Why this configuration
- Roller shutters covered. A roller shutter contact wires into a DoorProtect Plus set to its roller shutter input, the connection Ajax documents for shutters, with the wire kept within 3 metres.
- Doors that report forcing. DoorProtect Plus also detects shock and tilt, so an attempt to lever a door raises the alarm before it opens.
- Extended coverage. The ReX 2 range extender carries the link a further 1,700m, taking the hub-to-detector reach to as much as 3,400m in open space.
- Fewer false alarms on the floor. MotionProtect Plus only raises an alarm when its microwave sensor confirms what the PIR sensor detected.

Compatibility
All units in this kit run on Ajax's encrypted Jeweller radio protocol and pair to the included Hub 2 Plus, with the ReX 2 extending radio range further. Any other Jeweller device from our Intrusion & Alarm collection, including fire detectors, can be added to the same hub.
