What this system protects
A security scope for a single business warehouse or godown in a walled compound, the kind let in Industrial Area and along Baba Dogo Road with guards, an electric fence, a loading yard, roller shutter doors and a small office or mezzanine. It covers the yard and loading doors after hours, the stock floor, the high value cage, and who comes in through the staff entrance during the day.
Two Kenyan cases shape it. In February 2025 thieves took goods worth Sh23.8 million from an Industrial Area warehouse. And at a container freight station godown in Changamwe, police say the thieves broke into the CCTV control room, took the recorder and tampered with the main electricity switch before the break in. So this scope does not rely on the cameras or the mains. The alarm hub has its own backup battery and reports over two mobile networks, and it tells your guards and whoever monitors the alarm when mains power is lost, a device is tampered with or the radio is jammed.
Three decisions shape the design. Roller shutters are the real doors of a godown, so each shutter gets a contact wired into an Ajax door detector, the connection Ajax documents for roller shutters. The yard is covered by outdoor detectors that send a photo with the alarm, so whoever responds can see whether it is a person before they go out. And the room holding the CCTV recorder gets its own detector and door contact, so the first thing a thief goes for raises the alarm.
During the day, the staff entrance opens by Suprema face recognition rather than fingerprint, because warehouse hands are often dusty or gloved, and the high value cage opens by fingerprint with every entry logged by name and time. Cameras are quoted as a separate line and pair with our Enterprise Logistics 32 camera kit. For a bonded warehouse, KRA requires CCTV covering the entire facility and accessible to KRA, and we plan the camera side around that on the survey. No prices appear on this site. This scope is designed around the security conditions in KRA's procedure for licensing a bonded warehouse. It does not by itself get a warehouse licensed; that is decided by KRA.

When we install, this is what you receive before we call the job finished.

- ✓ Mains power loss and tamper alerts tested in front of the manager
- ✓ Zone and door schedule, with the model and serial number of every device
- ✓ Training for the manager and guards on arming, the panic button, the duress code and reading the entry log
- ✓ 12 months workmanship warranty on our installation from the date of commissioning, in addition to the manufacturer warranty on the equipment
- ✓ Optional service and maintenance after the first year, quoted separately
What the quote assumes
If any of these do not match your site, tell us and the scope changes. None of them are dealbreakers, they change the quantity.
- • One business occupies the warehouse and controls the compound gate
- • Steel roller shutters with a floor or guide where a shutter contact can be fixed within 3 m of the door detector
- • Mains power at the gatehouse, the office and the staff entrance
- • Mobile coverage from at least one network, confirmed on site
- • A network cable can run from the office to the staff entrance and the cage
- • Detectors are mounted at the heights Ajax specifies, not at roof height; yard detectors sit 0.8 to 1.3 m high on a wall or post
- • Installation can be done in phases so loading keeps running
