What this is for
Adds two more controlled doors to a Protege controller. Each of its two reader ports can run Wiegand, RS-485 or OSDP, so it takes current encrypted readers and older Wiegand readers on the same site.
If communication with the controller is lost, it keeps making access decisions offline for all users, the first ten users plus a card cache, or no users, depending on how it is configured.
What you also need
This item is part of a system. A working installation needs each of these.
- ✓ A Protege WX controller on the same RS-485 module network
- ✓ 12V DC from a Protege DIN rail power supply
- ✓ Readers, locks, door contacts and exit buttons for the two doors
- ✓ Space in a DIN rail enclosure
