What this is for
A mullion-size reader for DESFire and MIFARE cards and tags, rated IP65 so it can sit on an exposed door frame. It connects over encrypted RS-485 or OSDP with Secure Channel, which means someone who reaches the cable cannot record a card and replay it later. Standard Wiegand is available for older panels, without that protection.
This model reads 13.56MHz credentials only. For phones as credentials, choose the Bluetooth version.
