What this is for
Completely wire-free: a 6,400mAh battery kept charged by its own solar panel, so there is no trench across the compound, no electrician and no cable to the gate. Two screws and a panel facing the sky.
TP-Link publish 45 minutes of daily direct sunlight as sufficient for all-day operation, measured at 1000 watts per square metre and 25 degrees, and up to 180 days on a single charge based on 250 seconds of recording per day under laboratory conditions. Your figures depend on where you mount it and how busy the view is: a camera watching a gate on a main road works considerably harder than one watching a garden wall.
2K resolution, IP65 rated. For gates, perimeter fences and garden walls where running power is the obstacle.

Compatibility
