DoorProtect Jeweller: a door and window sensor built to outlast the door it guards

A reed switch is a simple part. Ajax makes it dependable enough to trust for a decade. DoorProtect Jeweller uses a British-made reed switch rated for more than 2,000,000 openings, enough for a busy office door to keep working for years without a replacement call. It ships with two magnet sizes, so it seats flush even on narrow window and door frames where thicker sensors won't fit.

The pre-installed battery runs up to 7 years before it needs swapping. Ajax tests every unit at production, not a sample batch, and you get a low-battery warning months in advance, not a dead sensor discovered at 2 a.m.

Wireless range reaches up to 1,200 m (3,900 ft) to the hub over an encrypted, two-way Jeweller radio link that resists jamming and spoofing attempts. Try to pry the sensor off the wall, and the built-in tamper switch reports it instantly.

Installation takes minutes: mount the SmartBracket panel, snap the sensor in, scan the QR code. No disassembly, no wiring, and no return visit needed: every setting can be adjusted remotely through the Ajax app afterward.
