Ajax StarterKit Plus: motion, entry and panic-button coverage on the hub built for your biggest room

Ajax StarterKit Plus is built around the Hub 2 Plus control panel, the largest-capacity panel in the Ajax line, handling up to 200 connected devices, 200 users, and 25 groups. The kit also includes a MotionProtect motion detector, a DoorProtect opening detector, and a SpaceControl key fob with panic button.

Hub 2 Plus talks to detectors over Jeweller radio at up to 2,000 metres in open space, with alarms reaching the panel in under 0.15 seconds and AES-128 encryption on every transmission. It detects radio jamming automatically. For alerting you and the monitoring station it uses four channels, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and two SIM slots covering 2G, 3G and LTE, so an alarm still gets out if one connection drops. It also supports video verification from up to 100 connected video surveillance devices, including up to 25 third-party IP cameras or DVRs over RTSP, letting you see what triggered an alarm rather than just react to a beep.

Installation takes about 30 minutes. Detectors ship with batteries pre-installed and default settings ready to go, and the mobile app walks you through placement and testing. The opening detector runs up to 7 years on its battery and the motion detector up to 5, so there's little to maintain once the kit is set up. The kit can be connected to a monitoring company's console for professional response, arranged separately. Note that the panel has no built-in sounder, so add a siren if you want the alarm heard on site.
