What this is for
Full colour down to 0.005 lux at only 6 watts over PoE, which makes this the camera to reach for when you are filling every port on a recorder and the power budget is what decides the job. An F1.6 aperture and two white LEDs reaching 30 metres keep the picture in colour at night, and two infrared LEDs take over when there is no light at all.
IP67 rated, with people and vehicle detection filtering out the moving vegetation that causes most false alerts. Two things to know before specifying it: this model has a microphone but no speaker, so it warns intruders with a flashing white light rather than sound, and it has no microSD slot, so it records to an NVR rather than to the camera. Three lenses: 2.8mm for a wide 107 degree view, 4mm at 84 degrees, or 6mm narrowing to 55 degrees for detail further out.
What you also need
This item is part of a system. A working installation needs each of these.
- ✓ A PoE port on a VIGI recorder or an 802.3af/at PoE switch
- ✓ Cat6 cable, up to 100 metres per run
- ✓ A free recorder channel, with enough PoE budget left for this camera's draw
