What this is for
Four PoE+ ports on a 53 watt budget, so cameras plug straight into the back on one cable each and are detected and powered automatically. No injectors, no separate switch, no power supplies at the camera end. Records up to 8MP per channel with 4K output over HDMI.
Three limits to plan around. A single drive bay taking up to 10TB, so no redundancy and a hard storage ceiling. The uplink and the PoE ports all run at 10/100 Mbps rather than gigabit, and with 60 Mbps of outgoing bandwidth several people viewing remotely at once will feel it. And 53 watts across four ports is ample for infrared cameras at 5.5 watts each but tight for four full colour models drawing 10 to 12 watts.
