What this system protects
An alarm scope for a finished property, where the walls are up, the driveway is laid and nobody wants a trench through the garden to add security.
It runs on Ajax wireless, which matters here for two reasons. The detectors talk to the panel on their own encrypted radio rather than on cable, so the system goes onto an occupied house without civil work. And because nothing is cast into the building, the whole system comes off the wall and goes with you if you move, rather than being written off as a fixture. If you are renting, that is usually the difference between buying security and not bothering.
Everything below is sized for a half acre to one acre compound with a main gate, a boundary of roughly 150 metres, a garden buffer and ground floor openings. Your property will differ and the scope changes with it.
Four things we do differently, and why they matter
Two sensors have to agree before the siren sounds. Outdoor detectors that trigger on a single infrared reading go off for dogs, birds and moving foliage. After a few of those at two in the morning somebody switches the system off, and an alarm nobody arms is not an alarm. These detectors compare readings from two independent sensors before deciding, which is why they can be mounted outdoors at all.
The panel knows when a detector stops answering. Every device checks in on a schedule. If one goes quiet, from a flat battery, a fault or interference, the panel raises that as an alarm of its own. An unsupervised detector that failed months ago is a hole nobody can see.
You see a photograph, not just a notification. When a boundary detector triggers, the camera inside it takes a short series of stills and sends them to the phone. The question at two in the morning is whether to call anyone, and a picture answers it faster than a siren does.
Cutting the power or the line does not silence it. The panel holds its own battery and carries two mobile SIMs on separate networks alongside the fixed connection. Losing mains, or losing the fibre, does not take the system off the air.
What this changes on the running cost side
We do not publish payback figures. These are the lines an alarm on a finished property touches, and the ones worth measuring before and after.

What the quote assumes
If any of these do not match your site, tell us and the scope changes. None of them are dealbreakers, they change the quantity.
- • The boundary is a continuous wall or fence with no open frontage
- • Mains power and a mounting position exist inside the building for the panel
- • There is mobile coverage from at least one network at the property, which we confirm on site
- • Any existing electric fence has a working energiser with an accessible alarm relay
- • Detectors can be mounted at the heights the manufacturer specifies, without obstruction
- • Work is done in normal hours with somebody present for handover
