What this is for
Infrared to 50 metres at 2560 x 1440, and TP-Link publishes the detection distances rather than leaving you to guess: with the 6mm lens you get detection at 120 metres, observation at 50, recognition at 24 and identification at 12. Those four numbers are what actually tell you whether a camera will do the job at your fence line, and they are the reason to choose a lens deliberately rather than defaulting to the widest.
IP67 rated for exterior walls and perimeter runs, drawing 5.5 watts over PoE so sixteen fit inside a 90 watt recorder. People and vehicle classification filters the alerts. No speaker and no microSD slot on this model, so it pairs with an NVR rather than recording at the edge. Lenses: 2.8mm at 88.8 degrees, 4mm at 75.2 degrees, or 6mm at 49.8 degrees for the longest reach.
