What this is for
The lowest power draw in the range at 3 watts over PoE, recording 2304 x 1296 with infrared to 30 metres. Where a recorder's power budget is the binding constraint on how many cameras you can fit, this is the camera that fits.
Two limitations to weigh before specifying it. TP-Link publishes no weatherproof rating for this model on any of their regional pages or datasheets, and pointedly omits the word outdoor from its name, so treat it as an interior camera. And it encodes in H.264 only, which consumes roughly twice the storage of the H.265 models for the same retention period. The C400HP is the same camera with H.265 encoding. Choose 2.8mm at 105 degrees or 4mm at 92 degrees.
