What this is for
The most economical camera in the VIGI range, recording 1080p with infrared to 30 metres and drawing only 5.5 watts over PoE. Corridor mode rotates the frame from 16:9 to 9:16, which suits stairwells and narrow aisles where a normal wide frame spends most of its pixels on the walls either side.
Two things to check before specifying it. TP-Link publishes no weatherproof rating for this model, listing the protection row as not applicable and the housing as plastic, so treat it as an interior camera and use an IP67 bullet outdoors. And it is PoE only, with no DC power input published, so it must run from a PoE port or an injector. No speaker and no microSD slot. Choose 2.8mm at 88.2 degrees or 4mm at 75.2 degrees.
What you also need
This item is part of a system. A working installation needs each of these.
- ✓ A PoE port on a VIGI recorder or an 802.3af/at PoE switch
- ✓ Cat6 cable, up to 100 metres per run
- ✓ A free recorder channel, with enough PoE budget left for this camera's draw
