What this is for

Keeps your cameras online when the primary internet connection drops. Plug the main fibre line into one WAN port and a backup into a second, and the gateway fails over automatically without anyone touching it. Up to three WAN Ethernet ports, plus a USB port that accepts an LTE dongle.

One thing to confirm before you rely on the 4G backup path: the USB route works with dongles on TP-Link's compatibility list rather than any modem, so check the model against that list first. A gateway for small businesses and retail sites where a camera system going dark is not acceptable.

Compatibility

Works with VIGI NVRs and any IP camera network. Managed through the Omada SDN controller alongside TP-Link switches and access points.
