What this is for
Sixteen PoE+ ports with a 250 watt budget and up to 30 watts per port, plus two non-PoE gigabit uplinks and two combo SFP slots. Eighteen ports in total, sixteen of them powered, which is the configuration for a sixteen camera site where the recorder cannot carry the power load itself.
The extend mode is useful but read the limits before you rely on it. It runs on ports 1 to 4 only, not the whole panel, and it reaches 250 metres by dropping those four ports to 10 Mbps. That is fine for a single low resolution stream at the end of a long run and it is not enough for 4MP or 8MP H.265 video. For long runs carrying full resolution, use fibre or a PoE extender instead.
On budget: 250 watts across sixteen ports averages 15.6 watts per camera, which covers most of the range comfortably but not sixteen of the highest draw full colour models at once.
Compatibility
Powers up to 16 PoE cameras including all VIGI models. Use where the NVR PoE budget is insufficient or cable runs exceed 100m.
