What this is for
2560 x 1440 outdoor surveillance where a network cable cannot be run: outbuildings, detached garages, heritage facades. Two external 2.4GHz antennas, full colour night vision to 30 metres, and two-way audio through a built-in microphone and speaker.
Two things to plan for. It has no PoE and needs a 9 to 12V DC supply at the mounting point, so going wireless removes the data cable and not the power cable. And TP-Link publish no wireless range figure for this model at all, so the usable distance depends entirely on your building. We would rather survey the site than quote you a number the manufacturer does not stand behind.
IP66 rated, microSD up to 512GB.
Compatibility
Records to a VIGI NVR over Wi-Fi or wired Ethernet. Needs mains power at the camera position, since Wi-Fi mode cannot draw PoE. Confirm Wi-Fi signal strength at the mounting point before specifying.
