What this is for
A four-channel recorder without PoE, which is the right choice in one situation only: when your cameras are already powered another way, or the runs are long enough that you are using a separate PoE switch regardless. Records up to 8MP per channel to a single drive bay taking up to 10TB, with 4K output over HDMI and simultaneous VGA for a second screen.
Be clear on the trade. Every camera needs its own injector or a separate PoE switch, which usually cancels the saving against the NVR1104H-4P. The network uplink is 10/100 Mbps, so remote viewing competes with recording ingest on the same port rather than running alongside it. And playback drops below four synchronous channels once total resolution exceeds 16MP. For most four-camera jobs the PoE version is the better buy.
